Pairs well with

Rollei Infrared 400 is well suited for experimental, creative applications and for scientific photography. This film has a sensitivity up to 820nm and an ISO of 400 without filtering. Perfect exposures can be reached, using special infrared filters, leading to results with an unusual tonal range. Special AURA effects can be obtained by overexposing film. It has high contrast, very fine grain and excellent sharpness and is especially suited for scanning.

  • Traditional Black and White Infrared Film
  • High speed panchromatic black and white film material with special infrared sensitivity
  • Large exposure latitude and a high exposure reserve for application under all lighting and climatic conditions.
  • Special coating for improvement of film transport properties of the cameras
  • Suitable for daylight or tungsten lighting
  • Polyester base support guarantees the highest level of archive stability (LE 500)
  • Under careful handling, Rollei Infrared can be inserted and removed from the camera under subdued light conditions.

Rollei INFRARED is a hyperpanchromatic black-and-white negative film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200/24° to 400/27° up into the infrared range (650 – 750nm). It is cast on a crystal-clear, synthetic carrier, which makes it very suitable for developing as a slide. This film is characterized by its high resolving power, finest grain, and high edge sharpness. It is easy to handle and can be exposed with or without an infrared filter. Without an infrared filter, Rollei INFRARED acts like an ordinary, high-sensitivity black-and-white film. However, if an infrared filter is used, highly creative results can be achieved.

Fact Sheet

  • Nominal Sensitivity: ISO 400/27° | highly sensitive
  • Sharpness: very high sharpness
  • Exposure Latitude: high exposure latitude
  • Resolving Power: very high resolving power
  • Suitable for BW Reversal: perfectly suitable as slide

Infrared Effect

To take full advantage of the performance of the film, we recommend using an infrared filter to achieve the typical infrared “wood effect”.

Can also be used as slide film

Due to the crystal clear PET carrier, the INFRARED is very well suited as a black and white slide.
